Jocelyne Camy

“[Being a farmer] means a lot for me because all my income depends on it”, says Jocelyne Camy, a 39-year-old farmer in Haiti whose crops include peanuts, banana, beans, and corn. Before joining Acceso’s program, Jocelyne says seed prices were very high. “I could not buy [them] all the time”, she explains. “Acceso helps me by buying the peanuts from me, and I don’t have to pay transport fees to go to the market to sell it”. Jocelyne says working with Acceso has increased her income, and that the fact that Lavi Spicy Peanut Butter is being enjoyed by customers in the U.S. means a lot to her. (Fun fact: Jocelyn also has a bookstore!)
